Any N certificate holder in the US that is still in the vessel business has diversified their client base. More than a few have always worn multiple hats when it comes to fabrication. I agree that the numbers sure ain't what they used to be.

openoffice, a freeware office program, 99% compatible with MS Office, has a program called Calc that's pretty strong. There's also Calc98, google it, also free, with excellent capabilities.

Are you "sure" or have you verified? Check the Design Specification and original purchase orders, CMTR's, data reports, etc.. It's not unusual for people to be "sure" of something only to find that they should have verified.

Be careful, base metal substitution can only be done if all other essential variables in the WPS/PQR being used remain the same. I've seen this paragraph misapplied more than once.
