According DIN 17200, Steels for quenching and tempering, Table1, Page 14, code letter "V" added at the end of a steel grade means that material is supplied in quenched and tempered condition.
There is no V alloying element.
Hello,
Does anyone know, for determining surface %carbon of a carburized sample (dia 1", length 6") - spectral analyze-, what is the influence of sample condition? I mean hardened or not, after carburizing.
Could have any influence at spectral analyze?
Thanks.
