I have ran sulfur around LSR in small quantities at a couple of plants but never next to each other in long production runs. I have ran them in the same press and I understand the clean out involved. Kind of the same situation as some HCRs. I have a big order coming in and wanted to make sure...
A 15F change in room temperature would not change the process. The barrel should be regulated by a thermolator to maintain the barrel temperature that you want. A 15 degree hotter environment that the rubber is stored in could have an affect over a long period of time.
Anyone know of a good way to reduce the coefficient of friction of silicone? I know of and tried, corona, flame, parylene, talc and many others. I cannot use any powders and need something to help bowl feeding. Anyone ever heard of oxy-glazing?
Can someone tell me what the key physical property is for snap back or hysteresis of a material is? I can find some correlation with durometer with LSR, but I was looking for a more accurate measurement then durometer. Would modulus be more accurate?
