    Best way to anchor aluminum tube

    I have a 1" OD aluminum tube w/ approx. .08" wall x 12" long, and I would like to insert some sort of well nut or rivet nut at the top of the tube. The tube is counterbored to allow room for the head of the nut. I have no experience with these so I was wondering if anyone could help me out...

    Thanks I called them. Anyone else? Some more info: Specific gravity is ~0.8, temperature is ~75 F, viscosity ~2.7 Suction pressure is currently at 18 psi, but it is coming through ~1000 equivalent feet of 1" pipe and will therefore drop proportionally with flow. This needs to be validated...

    Looking for 10" to 4" pipe coupling

    Thanks for the ideas guys but the hub is cast iron and there is no room for a flange. I'm just going to cap the hub and drill a hole for the drain pipe, then seal the hole with some packing and silicone sealant.

    2B nut on 3B gage

    I am trying to inspect a 3/4-10 UNC-2B capnut for use with a 3/4-10 UNC-3A plain stud. The 2B cap nuts will thread on to the 3A studs that I have, but will not even begin to thread on to the 3B gage that I am using to check them. I figure that there must be a reason but I can't explain it...
