C800 means "C" CT accuracy Class classification, 800 stands for 800V associated with 8 Ohm Relaying Burden, 5A secondary winding current and 20 times rated secondary current design withstand secondary winding, i.e. 8 Ohms x 5Amps x 20times = 800 (secondary Volts). This forms C800. See ANSI Std...
When there are more motor starts per hour, e.g. 10 or more, it will be better to consider a different solution, e.g. clutch or electromagnetic coupling while keeping the motor running continuously. This way it is ensured that the motor has a proper cooling and proper shaft loading.
Questions:
Are SCRs naturally commutated or is there a forced commutation applied?
Are they true SCRs or other types of SCRs, e.g. LASCRs, GTOs, MOS-SCRs, FET-SCRs, etc.?
"Thermal" is used in various contexts when it comes to electrical motors. Several contexts have already been mentioned in the above postings.
The following appear to be due:
1. The Thermo- or Thermal-magnetic circuit breaker in contrast with the Magnetic circuit breaker often used for motor...
If the shock loads are more severe, NEMA Design Letter D motor may be considered. NEMA Design Letter A motor produces more torque than NEMA Design Letter B motor; however, NEMA Design Letter D motor produces a high start torque, about 250% of full load torque.
Have you checked the power supply quality, namely, voltage and current waveforms? If there is a second harmonic content, it will support 100Hz vibration on 50Hz power supply. It may also be a combination of power quality problem including imbalance and harmonics.
A lot can be deduced from monitored motor current waveforms. The current amplitude could be compared to the motor LRA, and protective device settings. A defect in MCP might be deduced, if the amplitude waveform is normal.
Ships are governed by ship related industry standards, e.g. IEEE 45, Det Norske Veritas, Lloyds, MIL Stds., etc. These are often met by shipyards as applicable.
Certain notions mentioned in above postings are clearly covered in the following link:

There is now a trend to route the high voltage transmissions underground in more populated areas. Japan seems to be progressing in underground transmissions.
Where are you located?
The posted 8000V thyristor data sheet indicates the maximum (peak) repetitive voltage.
The thyristor, just like a diode, can have a soft turn-off or an abrupt turn-off. The latter causes small damped oscillations after the abrupt turn-off.
The premature turn-off is not common at the properly...
The energy needed to overcome hysteresis is governed by the Steinmetz Law
According to C.P. Steinmetz, the heat energy due to hysteresis released per cycle per unit of iron volume is approximately
Wh=eta x Bmax^1.6
where
Bmax is the maximum of flux density in T
eta is the hysteresis coefficient...
