Once we get past the in-depth discussions of Faraday's Law and sub-particle alignment and lots of other things that don't really matter, we can start offering examples of satisfied customers. Until then...

Let's forget ferrite rings for a moment (is that a circle of weasles?)
I do have a gadget on my 2" PVC Domestic service, and it claims to be some magical electromagnet, and it cost a lot, and it doesn't appear to be doing anything.
Please, fellow 'Tipsters, don't buy an magical electromagnet...

Why do some members seem mad at Weatherford about this, or skeptical of their findings?
LHA:
I've never heard of Weatherford; still haven't in any other context, except for this Forum. Ergo, I have never tried to do business with, or get a job, from Weatherford. I have nothing against...
It would be valid, I think to use actual flow. Over a long enough channel, it would make a difference.
Given a trap. grass swale of b=2, D=1, z=3 and slope =.020, capacity is 11.8 cfs. Full flow yields a Manning's of .063 and v = 2.37.
Same swale with 1 cfs yields a Manning's of .134 and v =...
I think you're talking apples and oranges.
.dxf is an actual graphic files (Drawing Exchange Format). It can put graphics directly into .dwg.
.shp is a shapes definition file. It talks to ACAD to tell it how to make shapes.
I could be missing something, though. Post to Forums > Engineering...
If you are saying that using 0.008 m yields the correct delta p, it could be that the actual pipes are fouled, pitted, have poorly matched/welded/etc joints and fittings.
Or it could be that you missed some major "Minor" losses in your model. Any baffles, reducers, manifolds, etc?

Other "inspections" that are required by the owner, architect, or engineer, simply to hold the contractor accountable to the contract documents can (and is often) performed by the engineer.

True, but that person is not called a "Third Party Inspector", as the OP asked about...

Do not worry, Eng A is hosed big-time, you are totally clear. An EIT is supposed to do legwork, including calculations. An EIT is, by definition "In Training".

I own one of these silly things, in my home. I paid $300+ for it, six years ago, and have run it continuously. I have never noticed one bit of less scaling.
Conveniently, on page 9000 or so of the O&M, it says something to the effect that running standard hardness test will NOT prove...
0.024 is the Manning's used mainly for Annularly-wound CMP. They don't make small diameter (your 21") pipe Annularly anymore, but I think they used to. .016-.018 is more typical for design/analysis of Helically-wound CMP. Manufactures claim as low as 0.012, but I wouldn't use that.
You can...
I'm in the same boat as kchayfie. I don't work in field where copywrites or patents come into play, but my contract definitely says my firm owns everything I design while there.
Same deal at the firm before that, and the three before that one.

In PA, USA, "Third Party Inspector" is a legal term. It is a private entity legally contracted to a Municipal (or County) government to do inspections for any number of reasons. I do them for Performance Security Bonding reductions, for sitework, others do them to ensure conformance to UBC...
Firm B owns the design. They can not change what Eng A did, but they can keep using past plans previously stamped. Eng A took responsible charge - or as PA, USA calls it "direct control" - when he/she sealed the EITs' work. I do it all the time.

Rangefinders, yes, thanks btrueblood. That was getting like one of those "Oh, man, what was that guy's name" deals. I laid awake for hours...OK, not hours...OK, I didn't lay awake, but it bugged me.
