Thanks jackk! The external parameters was linked to a file that was not delivered to us. I am now able to change my parameter. I spent so much time trying to figure it out. I have never messed with parameters before.

Hmm. I think my problem may have been slightly misunderstood. I have a parameter that is locked. It is called 'External Parameters\skin thk' under the formula window. The problem is the tree does not contain (at least it is not visible) "External Parameters" so I have no idea how to view it.

I have a model that was delivered from a customer and some parameters are hidden in the tree and locked which I need to modify. Is there a quick way that I can just unhide all parameters in the tree?

I am currently on a computer that has 4GB of RAM. I am trying to allocate the maximum amount of memory to NASTRAN for the run. The most I can give it in the command line is 1536MB (1.5 GB) and that doesn't even work some of the time (1024mb works all the time). I would like to be able to...

Does this also work for Windows XP Home? I have 4GB of RAM but am only able to allow NASTRAN to use up to 1GB without failing.

Thanks again for the help. Can anyone offer suggestions on coloring the part? I'm not sure separate colors can be used on part files like in assemblies.

Well I have attached a pic of the file tree for you guys to look at. I did figure out a round about way of solving my problem. I joined all the parts together in the assembly to form a new part. Then I just drew the outlines of the brackets and extruded them out which cut off the edges. I...

I will try that. I tried it already but I cut and paste an then saved as jpg in paint so I lost a fair amount of quality on the image. I will try just cutting from paint and straight into word and see how that works.

My current display is 1280x1024. The only reason I am trying to get the picture is that I want to insert it into a word document. I have used centimeter scale for length and everything turns out fine when saving as a jpg. The problem is when I have the scale in feet (which is actually what it...
