Hi all
is there a package available out there to be able to get data from a S7-300 PLC using visual basic.net
I would like to use this for a display only to show a machine performance on a stand alone application
i.e. machine speed, thermocouple temps etc.
I am not looking for writing values...
Thanks for the help guys
I now have the program working
the problem was in the temp tags # not latching due to memory (thanks jacekd) and when I used the M0.0 tags instead I didnt realise they shared the same address as MW0
S7 is so diffrent from VERSAPRO (GE-FANUC)
so thanks for your help...
no problem paul, it does look like a double coil error so I tried using the same logic with internal flags (m0.0 etc)instead of #temp ones
I am not using set/rest on the outputs/flags just a simple latch circuit.
your right, it circuit worked until I expanded it with more logic only to get...
Hi guys
new project requires S7-300 plc
have got a 313-2DP and am having problems with FC blocks.
simple logic isnt working like there is a conflict or something. no errors are shown in simatic manager
but a coil isnt latched when its supposed to????
in say motor start stop circuit. I find its...
yes jacek, it really is a fast cylinder and high speed valve
the cylinder slices through a hose and gets out of the way for the next one
works well though

hi all,
looking for a pressure transducer to be installed in an extruder machine. i want to fit it into the barrel to see what pressure is being generated.
maximum pressure is 250bar
maximun temperature is 230 deg oC
must be a 3 wire either 4-20mA or 0-10v output
sizes 1/4 " or 1/2"...
thanks for your input tomatge
a good point, i already have GE-FANUC cimplicity 50 point in the workplace but to network it around the factory i had to use DDE and export to excell for the tags to be seen by other PC users. i was just hoping for another system to do this by myself
cheers

i think we got off in the wrong foot xnuke
free labor would always be welcome but the main point i am making is that some companies do offer great tech support to get you started and up and running(what better way is there to sell a product)
with the support and some homework you can set up a...
i think you are right thryll. everyone starts somewhere.
i would recommend contacting the manufactures of the controls you are thinking of using. you will probally find they also offer a system which you could put together yourself (with tech support)
it worked for me, my first scada, using...
