    Thanks for the help guys I now have the program working the problem was in the temp tags # not latching due to memory (thanks jacekd) and when I used the M0.0 tags instead I didnt realise they shared the same address as MW0 S7 is so diffrent from VERSAPRO (GE-FANUC) so thanks for your help...

    thanks for your input tomatge a good point, i already have GE-FANUC cimplicity 50 point in the workplace but to network it around the factory i had to use DDE and export to excell for the tags to be seen by other PC users. i was just hoping for another system to do this by myself cheers lesliemcg
