Does anyone use datalogic barcode readers, in particular the DS41 type. These are becoming obsolete at the moment and were are looking to upgrade ours. We have trialed the later revisions of this model but have encountered similar problems to the older ones.

here's what happened when making the changes....
i connected the extra nodes onto the network, disconneting the endof line resister didnt cause any problems. I placed the PLC 5 that the IO was exclusive to in program mode, left the rest in run.
Went online to controlnet with version 7...

im aware of the networx nessesity for configuring.im not going to reschedule the whole network because changes only affect one plc so ill only place that one plc in program mode, leave the rest in run and merge the controlnet changes when im finished.

Hi Guys, im adding four extra nodes to my controlnet network. theres currently 25 nodes and 5 PLC 580's on it at present. my question is this, is it ok to just disconnect the last point in the link(node 25) and add these extra four nodes on the link and then reconnectup and replace the endof...

Im looking to get data from a PLC and send it to a database in sql. I'll be using an allen bradley PLC5 80C type controller.
Is all the work for this on the sql side or does the PLC have much to do other than present the information ?

Please explain clearing the keepers.We have multiple controlnet links(5 in all). This has happened on link 2 and 5. Both times defaulting another PLC5/80 on the link for no reason.

Is there a valid status bit that can be used in the SDN card to detect an ADN adapter faults. Basically we have a system here that causes us trouble when a certain node fails, causing major line backups etc ... but if we were able to detect when this node faults we could disable the line...
