Its depends on composition and process parameters. We are using now Carbon steel+3mm CA with Phenolic Epoxy lining for separators.
we used CS+cladding also.
Dear friends,
Presently I am working for effluent water treatment plant which contians Balance tank, IGF units and Nutshell filters etc.. I have to prepare corrosion and scale assessment study. Please provide me the guidelines or any documents to know the corrosion mechnisms in this plant.
Thanks
Thank you SJones.
Valve body material is CS. We are selecting the material based on ISO 15156 part 3.Finally, Inconel 625 is selected as trim material.
thanks
Dear All,
Crude details are as follows:
Pressure = 55 psig, H2s mole fraction = 0.0011 and partial pressure of H2S = 0.07667 psia, NACE Sour = YES and
Formation water analysis:
Chloride content = 161500 mg/l and pH=5.7
Please suggest me how to select valve trim material based on NACE MR 0175?

Yes. Eventhough Export oil is not corrosive since it was treated, our PMC people are forcing to keep more than one injection point since they are expecting more corrosion without any reason. We have to fulfil their requirement or need to give justification that one point is...
Dear all,
In oil export pipeline (120km length), at present we are injecting corrosion inhibition at starting point of pipeline. Client wants to add more injection points , is there any basis to add these points based on length?, Please provide any standard to implement these points.
thanks
Dear Weldstan,
Co2=2% and H2o=1%. no data about chloride content. What type of coating is suitable here? I am thinking for Cladding. Otherwise. CS+6mm CA and internal coating. Please suggest me for coating.
Thank you
Dear All,
We are using methanol injection to avoid hydrate formation in sweet service. Is this effect on Co2 corrosion? CO2 corrosion rate is decreasing by adding glycol concentration. I want to know the effect of methanol in co2 corrosion?
Please clarify.
Thanks
