GoodBaby Group in China makes all the bikes for Huffy Corp. They also make anything baby for Graco and Cosco. This is a giant organization but they are a quality outfit. I have some business cards of contacts there if you want to attempt to chase that lead down.

They have been our prototyper for years and have several different types of machines and processes. We do approx 30-40k a year with them (don't ask why we don't get our own machine) and we have never found better service or prices any where. Let them know I sent you.

Hey raz.
Clean it up. No one, I mean no one is having the same problems you are. I assume you updated all the drivers and everything......I would get one of the many RAM checking programs and see if you don't have some bad RAM. I read just about every SolidWorks newsgroup there is an your...
Razberryjones you are having CPU issues and way off base about PhotoWorks now. PhotoWorks 2007 is much better than 2006. Please explain what you think is not right about it. I know it's fantastic and have been rendering everything in 2007 since it was out in Beta even though I am still using...
If you did the EV don't forget to install the patch first. I got an EV email yesteday about it.

This is only if you installed EV. And if you installed EV this patch must be installed before you update to the full 5.0.
On 7-26 I talked to SW support directly and they said CD's usually ship a month after web release. I have not received my CD's yet and I will install immediately as well with a co-habitation of 2006. I already have 2007 installed with the web version and as most of you know SW has said you...
I would switch as soon as I have more than 1 part time user. Even with the small place we have now. We have two people that use full time and 1 that uses mainly Alias but occasionally uses SW. If we get one more person which we are looking to add and that person uses less than 3 hours a day...
Yes Please all even if you are not interested in the group and you may have an idea, please post. We will take any suggestions that you may have. We (Rob and I, so far) are going to try and make this as close to a regular user group as possible. With that said we could use extra board members...
WOW! That was fast (I think). Either two things happened. Customers are testing and not finding any show stoppers, or customers stopped testing once Pre-release was out. Of course SW corporate is testing feverishly.

Those midnight madness sales are usually end of year sales promotions to boost numbers and the discounting has to be approved by someone from SolidWorks. So at this time of year for a one seat, one person, special discount is highly unlikely.

Since you don't need training and support and don't plan on talking to the VAR again it doesn't matter who you buy it from because SW doesn't discount anyway. They are also all regional in their sales so SW will force you to purchase from a VAR in your area. The only extra benefit I can see...
What B and H mentioned is also a good way to make a new part through the drawing. Copy (save as) the similar drawing and change the file name to your new part name. Go to Open through SolidWorks (don't open the part). Follow BandH's steps except don't double click to search for an existing...
PDM Admin has a good point for patent stuff and cheking in right away. It keeps everything for that project and proof of idea is always in your vault.
