That works, but my project has many sub-projects with models in them and we'll be shift picking for an hour. I'd like to grab the entire project and all its sub-projects with one command.

One of my PDMWorks users works out of the office quite often. We keep our common library models (motors, bearings, switches, etc) in a common library project in the vault. He's asked if there's an easy way he can copy the entire common library project to his local drive without selecting each...
On the end of the tube I like to add a retangular cut feature. This provides the second surface needed for the relative view. Once the view is placed on the drawing, I change the rectangular cut's dims to 0.001" wide x 0.001" long x 0.001" deep. Now it's barely detectable on the part or drawing...
Thanks for the feedback - very useful.
PDMAdmin - I like the automatic revision table but I haven't been successful in adding a value to any rev table column from the PDMWorks check-in window(other than the check-in NOTE going into the description column). I'd like to give the user the ability...
I'm setting up PDMWorks for our office. I want to get as much of the bugs ironed out before I let everyone loose. How are others handling the following:
1. drawing title block : does the revision that appears here reflect the revision of the drawing file or the model it represents? (I feel it...
Thanks automationbabe.
I still can't get the revision table column to be autmatically filled when checking in the drawing. SW gives the following options for revision table columns (Zone, Revision, Date, Description, Approved, Custom). Even when I create an 'Aprroved' property in PDMWorks and...
I've tried that but I can't get the Revision table to retrieve the custom properties to populate the cells.
I'll keep looking - it may be time to write a macro.
Thanks,

When checking in drawings, PDMWorks adds the contents of the NOTE column of the PDMWorks Check-in Window to the drawings revision table's DESCRIPTION column. Can other revision table columns be populated from the PDMWorks Check-in Window?
i.e. Rev By, Zone, Approver, etc
Thanks,

Thanks for al the input. I was able to figure it out this weekend.
Basically, SW creates an advanced limit mate by utilizing its limit tolerance on a mate defining the distance between 2 surfaces. Now my DT can add the correct max and min (max being the cylinder stroke and min being zero) for...
I have a distance mate to control the extended and retracted configuration where I use the DT to set the value to zero for the retracted and XXX for the extended. Controlling this from the DT works fine for these two configurations. I now want to add a third "floating" config where I suppress...
I'm creating a cylinder assembly with DT to control the stroke. I have 3 configurations : extended, retracted and floating.
I've been able to set and change the limit distance value for the floating configuration with the design table but I need to be able to set the minimum to be zero. If the...
Ah yes ...
my solidworks is using the SWBrowser.mdb from C:\Solidworks Data\lang\English. Once I copied that one to the second computer, we were able to use the modified holes.
Thanks handleman, a star for you!

I've created a new holes standard derived from the "ANSI Metric" standard and added custom holes for press fitting dowel pins. I'd like to share this modified db with the rest of the SW seats in the office. I've tried copying the SWbrowser.mdb (from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Solidworks...
