Bimr,
Blending sounds like a good option.
By the way, I am looking at this problem from an overall qa/qc point of view of possible treatment options, but I am not entirely familiar with the some of the units. I am familiar with conductivy units as micromhos/cm, but have not heard of mmhoms...
I am looking at a system that will treat 10 gpm of water from a well with the following characteristics:
pH = 7.4
Conductivity = 700 micromhos/cm
TDS = 340 mg/l
Alk = 202 mg/l
Total Hardness = 191 mg/l
Chloride = 20 mg/l
Sulfates = 120 mg/l
Nitrates = 1.3 mg/l
Calcium = 18 mg/l
Sodium = 13.5...
Hi,
Feedwater from wells is to be treated and used as potable water, with a portion to be used as feedstock for laundry boilers. A feedwater analysis came back with:
(all are in mg/l)
TDS = 290
Hardness (as CaCO3) = 240
chloride = 37
silica = 8
sulfate = 5.44
calcium = 90
magnesium = 5.4...
Help,
I am trying to make sense of calculations for a potable water treatment plant. The following are particulars listed for the plant:
Raw water flow rate = 1,600,000 gpd
Polymer dosing rate = 2 mg/l
Polymer solution = 0.5% TSS solution.
Polymer required = 26.7 lb/day
Without...
