I am looking for a HSS square end mill, 1 in. dia with 12" length of cut (minimum); number of flutes is not critical. I need it very quickly so if there is something off the shelf that would be ideal. Any suggestions?
It might be really simple but I cannot find a way of drawing an arrow (no text, no leader) in NX5. Is there an option that I am not looking at??
Thanks.
I am working on NX5.0.0.25 with .dwg files from Autocad. The views are not to scale and I need to add dimensions. I am having some trouble 'inputting' the dimensions on the drawing. What is the best way to get the dimensions onto the drawing in this case?
Thanks.
Hi,
I am looking for 0.5" radius isert to fit in a 3" shell mill in an HSK 63A toolholder of 4" length to machine plastic material. I did find this with Kennametal, but uses an extension for the toolholder thus making it heavy. Is there another company that can satisfy the requirements? The...
Hi,
We are interested in purchasing a 5 axis machine from a manufacturer in Europe. For that purpose, few trials are to be done in order to ascertain suitability of the machine for our application. I would like any ideas on what are the critical areas that need to be looked at for example...
We do have an HSK63A type spindle and are running the facemill (2.5" dia) at 11500rpm. However it takes a while to flycut a 72"X72" sheet and that is the reason a larger tool is being considered. This will however reduce rpm and surface finish.
Regarding polishing, the tool marks after...
Hi,

Also the present router has a limitation on...
Hello,
We are thinking about purchasing a new CNC machine for which a machine specification document is to be prepared. I have never done one before. Is there a sample or a resource I can refer to as a guide which will help me prepare one. Thanks!
We are researching 5 axis CNC machines for purchase. At present we use Haas VR11 machines, however the requirement is for a machine having minimum of 60" travel in the Y axis (VR11 has 40"). Most of the machines similar to the VR11's have less than that. Does anyone have input on a machine...
I have experience with 3 axis CNC programming and would like to expand the knowledge to 5 axis programming. I have access to Catia V5 and UG NX4 manufacturing modules. Are there any sources available for tutorials that could be useful (or even books to help in learning)?
Thanks.
