Does anyone know of any design examples for rail systems for timber bridges? I have been using "Timber Bridges" by USDA Forest Service (based on AASHTO), and while the rail systems chapter is helpful, it does not include any examples.
An excellent resource if you've not already tried it is "Timber Bridges" published by the USDA Forest Service June 1990. It has a very helpful section on decking design, complete with several examples.
