    What is the best crucible material to melt 316L stainless steel?

    I am running into low life-cycles for my crucibles to melt and cast stainless steel 316L. I am currently implementing a AlO2 & SiO2 crucible and its only good for about 12 runs until the crucible drops-out in the bottom. Does any one know any better crucible materials to be used? Jui
