I understand man, you got to make sure you are ready. I'll let you know how it went at the end of the semester. So if you need any info....let me know.
Again, good luck.
Hey I might be a bit late but I'm in your exact same situation (BSEET to MSEE) and I also got accepted to Polytechnic and I'm taking an Online class. 6413 to be exact....Had I posted earlier I would have suggested to send them your application but it seems that you did your research already...
Thanks, I don't own a NEC hanbook but I'll go to Barnes and Noble this weekend and take a free reading on it.
However, I have seen some formulas ONline, but I don't understand them just yet. I'll take a second look....
JRGarcia.
Thanks for your responses.
Let's take the simplest case scenerion:
-Voltage drope at 3%, I thinks that is what the code call for.
-Temperature: about 80F
-Only carrying conductor in conduit.
- End of run: Lighting
Hello, this forum is the best by far.
My question is:
Is there a formula to determine what wire size I need for a "electrical" run:
Example:
I'm using 120VAC
Wire:Copper
Length:100ft
The wire will handle 15Amp at Mximum.
What wire gage (AWG)I need?
Is there a formula?
Thanks in advance.
José.
Hello Everyone. Best forum by far!
I'm buliding a variable power supply but I'm not sure of what is the purpose of two componets, perhaps one of you can clear this up for me.
