'm not sure question is fully flushed out.
35 stories and it will have concrete shear walls and concrete frames. And, seismic will be a consideration. Seismic Zone 2A, so not particularly onerous.
Are you looking for analysis results, design results, consideration of ACI seismic detailing...
I'm currently looking at SCIA, ETABS and ROBOT as the options available through my company.
I've heard good and bad reports about all 3, but havent used them myself and am trying to make a fully informed choice.
The options are all current versions, and I'm hoping to use a product which has...

I'm the designer... that's why I'm asking the questions... I don't want to design something now that creates problems for the bridge fabricators !
I've found something similar done on another project, and I think they must have welded the cheek plates on in 2 sections (each cheek section...
yes, I would expect the plates to be welded in sections between stiffeners.
Stiffeners can be elded from one side only I believe

I have a 1250mm x 600mm box girder to be made out of 25mm thk plate, for a bridge structure.
It requires 15mm thick intermediate internal stiffeners.
At this size, it's not going be easy to weld in the internal stiffeners... but I'm sure there must be an accepted way of fabricating boxes of...
I'm doing stress analysis for a proposed concrete framed building in Qatar which has several movement joints, and I'm wondering what temperature variation to model. should this be min peak to max peak, min average to max average ? there are also max sun radiation temperatures published which...
British codes give clear guidance on canopy wind loads
Check out CP3 and BS6399
Both give clear guidance, and allow you to calculate wind loads depending on whether the canopy is fully open below, is blocked below, or partially open
Failing that, and for simple small canopies only, I have...
hi engineering colleagues...
I'm designing a concrete framed building in Qatar which has several movement joints, and I have some questions :
1. what is maximum spacing of movement joints ?
2. what temp variation should I include in my STAAD Pro design analysis model ? should this be min peak...
hi
I'm looking to shore a deep archaeological dig... 75ft x 75ft on plan, and 75ft deep. Casting concrete into the ground ie. bored pile wall or diaphragm wall is not an option as this might damage archaeology, nor is steel sheet piling. It will need to be some form of sectional steel drop box...
