Yeah but its varies a great deal and basing my general purpose circuit on an exact copy of stuff from 10 years ago may not be using the best available parts for the solution. I would like to get it as small as possible foot print and some old designs use big stuff. J.

Thanks for the reassurance guys, good to know SPI is not super picky, I'll just go for a tidy layout on the prototype board and see how we fair. I'm sure there will be plenty of other bits that'll trip me up in the layout! :-)

When laying out the PCB tracks for the SPI control lines between the devices what are best design practices?
Do I simply;
Daisy-chain the control lines between the devices.

The motor is around 80kw max.
When I changed the phases, I did this by moving the control signals and it seems to be working quite well. Now have another software limit to investigate, which is cutting in around half way up the rpm range. J.

I've been playing this morning and so far so good.
Swapped phases 2 and 3.
Swapped the signals from current sensors 2 and 3.
Swapped the resolver COS and Sin signals.
At this time the motor is running backwards.
Testing on the Dyno this afternoon...we shall see if the smoke...
