I didn't want to hijack the thread started by FutureAmerican so I decided to start another thread.
Basically I'm in the same boat as FA, graduated in 2006 with BSME. I have little to none practical/useful engineering experience I can put on my resume.
I went to a job fair today and also...
Wow, thank you all for responding and with helpful comments.
I've asked the same question at an HVAC technician forum and they did nothing but respond with sarcasm and insults...
I met with the head hunter last friday and scheduled an interview with the company for this friday. I checked out...
I haven't landed a job yet, a head hunter contacted me the other day about it and I wanted to ask for some opinions.
It's for HVAC technician position. It only pays 40K
I have BSME and EIT, but never worked for a consulting firm to do actual engineer type work. I thought that's eventually the...
Are you using the superheated table to obtain u2=2950kJ/kg? Because it only goes up to 1MPa. Or does superheated steam change very little after that pressure? If that's the case then entropy at 400C(7.4651kJ/Kg-k) does not equal the original entropy of 7.239Kj/KgK). I'm confused...
I don't know if this is the right place to post. I came across this problem for the FE exam and was hoping someone could help me out.
A cylinder and piston arrangement contains saturated water vapor at 110 C. Vapor is compressed in reversible adiabatic process until the pressure is 1.6Mpa. What...
I was considering going into healthcare too as it seems more stable, also considered dentistry. Just curious how old your co-worker who's going back to school for dentistry? I'm 27 now and I would have to go to school for 6 years and the debt I would be in changed my mind.
I'm in almost the same boat as the OP and been thinking about getting master's. However when asking for letters of recommendation, I don't know who to ask as my previous employers weren't engineering related and I've been out of school for 3 yrs so I doubt professors will remember me.
I bought the 6th edition by McQuiston, Parker, and Spitler. It doesn't have the answer key in the back and I contacted the publisher and they said nothing else is available for the book except for the online downloadable programs and examples.
Does anyone know where I can find the solution...
Sorry for double posting (posted in hvac section as well)
I want to get as many responses as possible

Do you think it's a good program to pursue for someone who wants to do MEP/HVAC consulting?
I'm a little skeptical about this program because it does not require GRE. Just...
