I could only partially share some reasons. We are evaluating a technology for H2S removal; however, with high RSH, the equipment cost would be higher. If there is a technology could help reduce the RSH to lower level, overall,it might help to save the total cost.
Hi moltenmetal,
Your idea may eventually work, if just a little of H2S is captured by AC, it should be acceptable. Did you have any practical operating experience of capturing mercaptans with min. coadsorption of H2S?
Does any one know if there are any technologies that have higher selectivity for mercaptans removal over H2S? For example, in the natural gas containing both H2S and mercaptans, I prefer to remove mercaptans first, then remove H2S later. But so far, I could not find a technology with no or...
May be first steaming out H2S/NH3; test air inside with H2S <25% of LEL (or per local regulation); then air purge till O2 at same level as air or >19%vol (or per local regulation)
Hi all,
Glad to hear your comments. I recently got the introduction from a UK university about their invention for nanobubbling and wanted to apply in our company. Later, I googled more info about nano-bubbling and got the video made by Japanese institute, which I have posted here.
It is not...
The concept of nanobubbling in the linked video sounds good, mass transfer efficiency should be higher comparing with regular gas bubbling/diffusing devices; did anyone see any real successful applications?

CO2 is inert gas, could impact the conversion efficieny. Also need to confirm if the catalyst was used for such application with high CO2? did you try to lower the feed gas flow rate and/or higher O2% to see if any improvement? is the design confirmed which can ensure the gas even distriubtion...
Hi,
we have contractor designing a vertical filbre glass vessel, the operating pressure will be up to 0.3kPag. random packing will be filled in the vessel. it will be used to strip the dissolved SO2 from the waste water by air bubbling from the the bottom the packing and the waste water entering...
