go to programs, accessories, communications and you will see hyperterminal. If you need set up info for fanuc let me know. Basically you just have to set up the baud rate and comm's just like anything you would use rs232 to do on fanuc.

as a guess i would say your having some cabling problems some where. Somethings coming loose or loosing connection possibly. or broken wire inside cable. just a thought.

went and looked at abunch of mazak books i got in the basement(used to work shop had all mazaks i keep all the info i aquired) any way everything i read in the book i have for a 640 fusion control points toward no power at lcd, bad cable, bad connections at board or screen or bad monitor.
did some studies at my last job alot of information is on the web and each chuck is different. Find out what type of chuck you have and look up there site or call them. this is the safest and best way to be sure.
