I was finally able to pull a license. I was in remote desktop and went to the license administration tab and read the log. It seems the license key uses port 25735 as well as 25734. I added exceptions to the server firewall for that port and voila'
I have added port 25734 exceptions in the server firewall (both TCP and UDP inbound and outbound) and still no joy but the error message has changed. What used to say 'Could not get information from this server:(-5,222,11004) Either the computer name and/or port number are incorrect or the...
Yes, I tried 25734@server_name using the computer name, IP addresss, my_remote_computer\server_name, and every combination I can think of. Since the server must be connected over VPN, I don't know how to identify it to the license manager.
I know that connecting to the SNL sever over VPN is not supported by SW, but it seems that people are doing it. I have VPN access to the server but apparently don't know how to relate that to the license manager on the remote machine. When I try to add the server in the little window that asks...
Went to the IBM site and downloaded LUM 4.6.8 fp 12 and 13 - installed. Basic tool shows our three license packages on the server. When I attempt to start Catia (R17sp8 64 bit) the only message I get is "no suitable license..." and the license manager pops up. Funny, the license manager in...
We have just upgraded a workstation from XP to XP64, installed 64 bit Catia V5 R17 sp8 and it will not grab a license - even though they show up in the license tool. Is there a special license key for 64bit?
I started V5 in admin mode and the system tab showed up on dimensions where it previously did not. I hate to be working in this mode, but at least I have found a workaround.
I am using V5 R16 and can't get a handle on creating funnels on cummulated dimensions. When right-clicking on the dimension and selecting properties, sometimes there is a tab labeled 'system' and sometimes not - and sometimes I can manually add a funnel and sometimes not. I can't find any...
Thanks all for the suggestions. I plan to aquire the reference items for my own use, as this application comes up rarely - but I will suggest the software applications to the department that deals with this on a regular basis.
We have been using Abaqus as an FEA package for about two years and have attended some training classes. Compared to other CAE programs we use, Abaqus is not very user-friendly or intuitive for the occasional user. Also, since we almost always run simulations on virtual parts that will never...
I am new to CosmosWorks after using HyperMesh at another facility. Are there tools to find certain elements in the mesh? What are the procedures for tracking down run errors? The online help files don't cover these subjects very well.
