Inspection of a concrete slab on grade post pour

You could take a look at ACI 302.1R - Guide for Concrete Floor and Slab Construction. We have this manual in our office. Not sure if it is available online. Also, ACI 117 gives guidelines for tolerances...

What is your company's policy when it comes to who seals drawings?

TLHS - I see what you are saying and for the most part agree. I don't think I made my point very well. Just saying that one consideration, in the context of this conversation about who stamps drawings within a company, is who in the company has "exercised direct control" of the design? I...

What is your company's policy when it comes to who seals drawings?

Wind Torsion Case - Flexible Diaphragm

Stillerz - I think you are correct. It appears that the intent is to use 15%B for rigid structures and equation 6-21 for flexible structures. Note the definition of eQ under equation 6-21 where it specifically states that the e per Figure 6-9 is for rigid structures... Thank you all for your...

Wind Torsion Case - Flexible Diaphragm

ASCE-7 (05) figure 6-9 gives two wind load cases with torsion (Case 2 and Case 4). What is the appropriate way to apply these cases to a flexible diaphragm? Adjust the load intensity to one side to achieve the required eccentricity, or just calculate torsional shears as if a rigid diaphragm...
