Hi All,
I am looking into a training/course/seminar on roundabout design. I would greatly appreciate if anyone of you can guide me where to look. I am in Northern Virginia area.

Hello,
Does anyone know if the Equivalent Capacity Coefficients for Simple Spans provided in VDOT IIM-S&B-86 can be used to get the rating factor for Legal & Permit loads from HL-93 rating factor using LRFR method? Also, is there a way to get the tonnage value from rating factor? VDOT "Load...
I got the post base connection. As the wall is going to be almost 10'-12' high I need a horizontal member between posts to connect my lumber boards so they can stand the wind pressure and also to bring my post size down. I guess pre-fabricated privacy fence as a2mfk suggested is not gonna work...
Hello all,
I am designing a wooden fence which is going to be on top of a concrete retaining wall. Its going to be timber posts at certain spacing with tongue and groove lumber board in between. I tried to find a manufacturer who does this kind of fence but couldn't find one. Any...
this concrete caisson is being designed for the sound wall. we had designed these earlier as reinforced concrete piles using LPILE analysis. the problem is with the embedment depth which came out around 22 feet even for 5 feet high wall. I was just trying to see if cutting out rebar and lowering...
Ishvaaag,
It did not work that way. Someone suggested to pick type 1 analysis from the options menu and that worked. In type 1 analysis, you do not have to input reinforcing steel.
thank you all for your response.
J,
I do not see any option for non reinforced concrete in the pile shape input section. If I put 0 for reinforcing bar value and run the analysis, it gives me some weird lateral deflection curve with -44 in pile head deflection. Am I missing something here?
thanks
Thank you TerryScan for pointing that out. I thought the guideline was for 15,000 sq ft or less of addition. Now, I am realizing that the slope above the driveway doesn't meet the 5% slope criteria. I guess I have to put some structural BMP in that case.
