    Thanks for your reply to my problem. I did not manufacture this mounting and I have not attempted to repair the mounting. I am just after a suitable product that will make a permanent repair.

    Please could someone recommend a rubber to metal adhesive? The rubber molding has split away from the metal, so the stronger the adhesive the better! permanent if possible. The split can be compressed with the aid of a vice which should help things!
