Hi Guys,
I have some inspection data from a supplier.
They have given me a summary of measurment data for each month:
For each critical dimension.
Max
Ave
Min
Qty (inspected)
(No std deviation) -- no individual data measurments).
I have 12 months datasets.
Can I use this to calculate a Cpk...
Hi All,
I've been asked to cost Cadence SiP for my department.
Added to which I am not familier with this software and how it is sold.
So I want to do some home work.
Is it only available from a limited number of distributors?
(i.e. one per country).

J.
Hi CarlB,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, MText to Text. A little thing but gets overlooked creating import errors.
To show my ignorance what do you mean by "lisp"?

J
Hi Guys,
I'd like to create a Macro or a script (i don't know which would be easier) to automate some actions.
We need to export drawings to Cadence on a routine basis.
But we need to explode tables & some text first.
So I want use a macro/script to automate this preperation so doesn't get...
Hi Dave, Kenat
Thank you for your replies.
I have converted the –ve values to absolute values.
And have calculated a Cp = 1.47
For the sake argument I have used a “nominal” of 0.00075” and put it into statistica...see what you think.
(I hope this upload works :)

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies!
But Erm aren't you contradicting each other?
My supplier did the measurements on 50 parts using a smartscope. I have one measured flatness value per part. i.e. 50 results.
Some values are negative – indicating concave
Some are positive – indicating convex
The...
Hi Guys
I have a general flatness tolerance on a drawing of 0.0015”.
And some inspection data from a supplier. I want to determine if their process is capable.
So I’ve put their data into a spreadsheet to calculate Cp/Cpk.
My question (which is probably stupid – but if in doubt ask)
I...
Hi Guys,
I have an assembly BOM table that lists the parts as Items 1,2,3 etc...using rpt.index

Hi Guys
I'm trying to identify the US equivalent to the British Alu grade LM6 (Aluminum Alloy BS 1490:1988 LM6).
If anyone knows a quick answer.....please help! :)
This is for an automotive die casting.
(I've asked a supplier but they've yet to get back to me)

Still not used to this darned WF....and it's been a month since we switched!

I have a drawing of several sheets.
I need to move a a view from one sheet to another...but don't want to have to re-create it and all of the dimensions
Any idea how?
I tried cut & paste but that doesn't seem to work.
Thank in advance
J
I've just changed over to wildfire 2.0 from 2001 at the begining of February.
In many ways it's frustrating...just manipulating the model with new "mouse & Keyboard" combos irritates the hell out of me...it was unthinking automatic movement, in W2 it had be re-learnt.
Also the new interface...
Hi Guys,
I have (from a customer) some pro/e assembly files that are really slow. (when opening, manipulating etc..).
I think that just a couple of parts are the culprits. Their first features have been created using copy_geom and or external_copy (from parts outside of the assemblies sent to...
