I've tried changing that setting and that doesn't seem to do the trick. I still cant see the edges on the assembly when I try to make a drawing of the assembly.
This has really got me stumped.

I am a relatively new user of Solidworks. I have trouble when trying to save a drawing as a PDF file. When I go 'file, save as' and save the file as a pdf, all the lines that are in the sheet format, what i would call the background, are much much thicker than they are in solidworks...
