I am trying to view the strain in the x direction of some plies in my laminate. However what Patran outputs is the strain in the 1 and 2 direction of my plies instead of the x-y direction. Does anybody know how I can output the strain in the x-y?

I modeled a composite laminate as a 2-D model but when I try to analyse the strain in each layer separately I am unable to do so, I only have the "unlayered" option.
