So far I'm getting a lovely rendering of my favourite assembly in NX-11 Ray Traced Studio. But I can't seem to convince the animation side of things to produce the equivalent result. The advanced Studio environment will produce something, but its not nearly up to the same quality.
Under NX-10...
Ah ha, I eventually located it under Tools, Preferences. He said wondering why it wouldn't also still reside where it always had previously?

Well I looked on the Customise Tabs for Roles and it has gone, so in a quest for a load/create dialog I tried the white space but I now think what that's actually presenting me with is a way of saving palettes, so I'm back to square #1.
How do I load and save roles?

Hudson...
It appears that saved roles in NX-10 use .pax files whereas up to NX-9 they used .MTX files.
Insert obvious question here " ".
I prefer to update by bring across my old settings and manipulating them to suit so I don't have to start over again.

As John says not really, but if this is a straight slot and you can use distance constraint to push the pin along the slot rather than having it pulled by some other part of the mechanism then you can set the distance value to an if-else function so that as it reaches the end it much always...
Winding, If you have only one coil maybe it shouldn't be that hard, the geometry is pretty much that of a helix. It's swapping to the second coil (i.e. in an inner or outer layer) that's liable to be tedious.

Thanks John,
I wasn't expecting the cloud version to run at this stage, just the downloadable version that providing you purchase correct package you'll have access to if you need it. Iv'e reason to want to do a bit of both just to get better bang for my buck out of my Microsoft purchases. I...
Thanks John,
I've been talking with the folks at Microsoft and they tell me that Office 365 Business Premium does include downloadable versions of their programs but that it is basically Office 2013.
If that isn't supported by NX then I'm lucky because I already have office 2010 and can do a...
Does anyone know what the compatibility status for excel is between newer versions of office and NX?

Thanks John,
I'll live, but the real problem for part families is the the value of the attribute comes from a set of simple formulas designed to triangulate a structure with fixed spacings that aren't horribly predictable.

Hello Guys,
It's been a while, but today I've a request to do something other than by usual fair and I'm frankly surprised that it isn't more readily supported than it appears to be.
What I want to achieve is simply to define one part one time for a standard extrusion and let the length be...
The part probably has a material assigned to it the colour of which is grey.
