Why it is standardize that valve above 2" shall be of casting, is there any technical reason or it is not economical to produce the forged valve above 2".- hpattharwala

In one of our project, we require 2" Ball valve with A 352 LCB as specified by the client. But vendor is proposing the A 350 LF2 saying that forge is better than cast. Is it true for this case. Valve will be used for Propane liquid.- hpattharwala
