What is the typical stud spacing for wood or metal studs?

When I worked for a "third-party inspection" firm, we hired an architect with a Master's degree in Architecture. He did not know what drywall was, nor which pipes were the water supply lines (which were copper).

Calculation of Bearing capacity of Pavement

When I took a pavement engineering class 30 years ago, the professor noted that if we didn't do the design correctly, it did not have very far to fall.

Locating Storm Drain and Sewer Lines Without Potholing?

Use a sewer jet with a radio transmitter on the nozzle. As the jet pulls the hose down the line, one can follow the path from above by following the radio signal. Thus works much better than a tv camera because the camera does not disclose curves and bends very well.

    Back to cellulose ethanol discussion

Gasoline is usually added to fuel-grade ethanol in order to denature it. i.e. make it bad tasting so it goes into the fuel tank and not into the employees.

Rainfall Data 24 Hour Storm, Northeast Ohio

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (www.neorsd.org) maintains a network of 25 raingages. The data is not on the internet. When I worked for an eastern suburb (circa 1986), we got a printed monthly report showing rainfall at all of the raingages. Now twenty years later, it is probably all...
