Thanks for your reply bassie. I've had a look at your suggestions and by having a look at cnet I was able to find a few possibilities [also gave me a few more 'words' to try in google ;o) ]. I suppose I was sort of looking for something akin to 'Zone Alarm' where it just sits there and does it's...
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, so my appologies if this ins't an appropriate post.
I was wondering if there was a piece of software (or hardware perhaps) that is capable of assigning limits on the use of your internet connection bandwidth, either proportionally or in absolute...
In my experience the main things that slow down a drawing are large amounts of True Type Font (.ttf) text and really dense hatching.
So check to see what font you're using throughout your title block, if you need to use a TTF for your company name etc then by all means use it, but for more...
Have you tried 'Printing to file' and then sending THIS from another application, ie not direct from autocad. If you haven't already try printing to DWF format and printing from Volo View Express (25Mb Download from Autodesk), or maybe to PDF and print from Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Another thing...
I was holding off answering this one because I didn't know the offical autocad answer. However, I do know another way of doing it.
First of all I take it the other response isn't quite what you wanted? ...I would assume you mean the very top window bar for the file path display, the other...
You can't do it from within AutoCAD to my knowledge.
You can however download a program called Quikpik and this has the capacity to lock the toolbars and other floating windows so that you don't accidentally move them (you press CTRL & move to adjust them). This is the main reason why I...
There is a package called LT Toolkit that gives the ability to run LISP on Autocad LT. Have a look here at a review:
http://www.cadinfo.net/reviews/LT-Toolkit.htm
I think you can buy it online from the url I gave, if not, just do a search for someone else selling it.
Hope that helps.

In paperspace go into the viewport you want to rotate.
Make sure your UCS icon is turned on, so you can see what's happening, just type UCSICON and select ON.
Type UCS and then Z and enter your amount of rotation, usually 90 or -90.
The 'Z' axis is perpendicular to the 'X' and 'Y' axes and...
This exact question has just popped up yesterday for me aswell, so I'd also like to find a solution please.
However, I think it's unlikely since .pdf's are pretty much a law unto themselves ;o)

Not sure what version of CAD you've got but I expect it'll be the same:
Go to your Tools > Options dialogue box, then pick the 'System' Tab and look at the area marked 'General Options' (top right). Tick the box 'Show all warning messages'. Hope fully that will do the trick.

I've had problems with WIPEOUTS in the past, so much so I avoid it completely now unless absolutely necessary ...shame, it's a good idea executed badly imo.
Anyway, one thing you could try is changing the DRAWORDER of the entities within your drawing. By changing 'what is drawn in front of...
I have a set up a similar system as described by Rich for myself in our offices and it works fine.
If, however, you want to try something else you could download View Companion ( http://www.softwarecompanions.com/viewcomp.html ). I also have this software installed and it allows you to view...
You could try WBLOCK'ing the drawing out of it's current file and pasting it into a new drawing. One tip would be to only have on the layers that you really need to use in this new drawing and then when prompted pick the objects via a 'window' rather than a 'crossing' or typing 'all', this will...
I have a problem that I haven't managed to solve yet and I'd appreciate some advise please.
We have recently started to use DWF files on our system, to allow us to keep track of revision stages etc.
When I plot an A1 size DWF to the plotter (Oce 5200 - A0 Roll feed) the drawings always rotate...
