I am in need of some (hollow if possible) plastic X (4 legged) mandrels 0.187" OD, ID is not critical as long as the mandrel is rigid. Length of each leg around 2" or so.

the easiest way would be to include that information in the block.
You could develop a program that simplifies the block insertion and auto populates some attribute information, or the user could select from drop down menu's.
Other than that, if the blocks were contained within closed polylines...

I just wrote my own program to run inside AutoCAD.
Thus when I "insert" the schedule it creates it with AutoCAD entities rather than ole objects or whatever. Much smoother, much faster and no printing issues, with the added benefit that I could format the schedule however I pleased...
