    Curved (twisted) Catilever beam

How you can calculate max stress on curved or twisted cantilever beam with point load on end. How you can calculate the torsion for that as well?

    Cantilever beam

Thanks for your help. Looks like i got it right too. After finshing engineering I moved to management and didn't do much calculations from 4 yrs so got confused. Thanks,

    Cantilever beam

I have a assembly that is bolted with two bolts in series. This assembly behavior likes a cantilever beam. Can some body help to draw a Free body diagram for that. I need to find reaction forces at both bolts. I am confused where to apply to moment, at the center of two bolts.

    Need suggestions!

I have 800 gallon capacity plastic (LLDPE material) tank and I design the saddle (mounting platform) for this tank (with higher thickness and greater yield strength). To mount this assembly on our machine (Ag truck) I need to attach four leg of steel on the four corner of my saddle. My...

    Plastic (LLDPE)......FEA

1.I have four mounting plate in four corner of the tank and i am constraining (fixing) all of them. 2. Tank is 62 inch X 60 inch and wall thickness is 0.3 inch. It is just like cuboid or square. 3. We alredy refined our mesh. 4.I calclate my pressure gradient theoretically as well it is...

    Plastic (LLDPE)......FEA

Hello all, I am conducting FEA analysis for tank (LMDPE material) with the help of ansys software. Dimension of my tank is app. 5ft X 4ft. I am applying pressure gredient (0 to 6 psi linearly from top of tank to bottom) form the inside of the tank it shows me 10 inch displacement. However, we...
