    Temperature control using PLCs

    If you have analog (0-5,0-10v)inputs you could use LM34 temperature sensors @ $2.50/ea. They have 1mv/Deg F. output and are usable to 300deg. I am using them as sensors in my home Solar heating system & they work very well.

    S7 214 FIRMWARE

    I HAVE SEVERAL SIEMENS S7-214 PLC 'BRICKS'& I USE ONE ON A HOME SOLAR SPACE HEATING PROJECT JUST COMPLETED. ALL OF THE PLC'S HAVE V0.91 FIRMWARE WHICH IS LIGHT IN FUNCTIONALITY.
