Any information available on which sheet pile locks will declutch first in hard ground with SPT 'N' of 80. Larssen lock or ball & socket? Obviously want to go with the least risk option.

Typically soil conditions drive preference in using soldier beam & lagging or sheet piling. Across the US there are areas that are exclusively sheet piling and similarly areas where practice is geared to beam & lagging.

A simple solution here is a plain tied back sheet piled wall. Assuming no major obstacles to soil penetration. The height is not a problem. Weep holes are only necessary if you have/need to drain the retained soils. Otherwise simply include the water head in the design and choose a sheet pile...
