"Result File is in wrong format."

Im doing modal analysis on a fixture I'm making. I'm using NX Nastran Sol 103 (real eigenvalues). I've run solutions with the same settings before on the same fixture, however I made a minor change to the fixture and now I obtain this error when trying to view my results. I recreated an entire...

NX 8.5: Space Finder Error "Start point is on the boundary of bodies."

Solved: I removed the thin shell, and then defined my interior point a different way. I did it as a point between two points (in the empty space) and needed the two points to both be on separate bodies of the enclosing assembly.

NX 8.5: Space Finder Error "Start point is on the boundary of bodies."

I'm trying to use the Space Finder command to determine the volume of the space inside an assembly. This error keeps coming up. To remedy I've tried: Enclosing the assembly in a thing wrapper to "seal" it - no success, I couldn't find a way to make a 0 thickness wrapper that matched the outside...

Calculate the volume of the air/free space inside a complicated assembly?

I tried a zero thickness body sheet, and now I'm facing a warning about my interior point: "Start point is on the boundary of bodies."

Calculate the volume of the air/free space inside a complicated assembly?

Alright well the space finder command does what I need, but not fully. It runs into an error "Boundar is not closed or start point is out of bodies." Any tips on selecting an appropriate start point? My assembly isn't an airtight/completely sealed setup (there is some air spacing on...

Calculate the volume of the air/free space inside a complicated assembly?

I have not at all! I just took a look and it may be just what I need, I'll edit this with my results!

Calculate the volume of the air/free space inside a complicated assembly?

I've got a quite complicated assembly, it's an enclosure that has components/parts inside that take up space. I can't provide incredible specifics due to the NDA at my company, sorry :( My objective is to calculate the area of the air or free space left inside the complete assembly for a flow...
