KevinNZ,
I don't have an expansion bellows .
[highlight #FCE94F]As LittleInch says The EQ load on the inner pipe needs to be transferred to the ground some how. The force path is from the inner pipe to the outer pipe. The connection between the inner and other pipe will see the EQ loads on...
LittleInch ,
This effort is in the support which support the outer pipe ( type support Fix Point ),and i this huge effort ( 28 Tonnes in the logitudinal direction)is the effect of the seismic on the inner and the outer pipe .
The problem is that this huge effort doesn't come from temperature effect, although the elevated temperature of this application 160 °C. But it comes from seismic effect in the routing direction of the header .
Hello XL83NL
I use CAESAR II, here's a picture of the model.
The fixed point is signaled with yellow.
Thanks in advance .https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=f0f72b83-86b1-4476-98e6-6438435945c7&file=Jacket_piping.PNG
I modeled a jacket pipe (a 100 m Straight header), this model need anchor with connecting node (Core Pipe/Jacket Pipe) in each Flange
The problem is the effort in the fix point (Fix Support), I find that this load is to huge for a pipe DN400/500.
the load is approximately 28 Tonnes in the...
