Screw Mate and Assy Qty. Question

I have a couple of questions. 1. I don't have the toolbox add-on so all my parts were imported from elsewhere or custom made. From my design library when I insert my flat head screws into a countersink the coincident mate always is upside down (the screw is sticking up rather than into the...

Cannot Mirror Components in an assembly

OK, thanks for clearing that up. The component does not mirror, it rotates. Instead of: b | d I get: p | d (where | is the plane)

Cannot Mirror Components in an assembly

Thanks, No, I can change the mirror plane and selection. It's the upper yellow box that I cannot change. Its stuck on mirrored (even though that is the option I want, I thought it was odd that I couldnt change it).

Cannot Mirror Components in an assembly

Unfortunately my subscription ran out between SP3 and SP4 so I don't have access to the SP4. Renaming the folder the registy didnt work. What does the "AV" stand for that I need to disable? But it sounds like this isnt a common problem so I need to reinstall. Can I save my custom settings...

Cannot Mirror Components in an assembly

Yes it is preselected to mirrored and cannot be changed. But even though mirrored is selected it doesnt mirror.

Cannot Mirror Components in an assembly

I am using 2007 Ver 3.0. When I try to mirror something from a plane into a left or right version in an assembly it doesnt mirror. Instead it rotates. Also, mirrored is checked but I cannot change the setting to instanced even if I wanted to.

How can I turn a fillet into a part?

It looks like this might work. Thanks much.

How can I turn a fillet into a part?

Thanks for the suggestions. The part I am trying to make is the intersection of a aircraft engine nacelle to a wing. So the weld bead won't work. The nacelle skin will have to have the fillet shape molded into it so that when it is installed it is a smooth aerodynamic transition to the wing.

How can I turn a fillet into a part?

How do I turn a fillet into part? I have two separate oddly shaped parts in an assembly. The intersection of the two independent parts needs to be filleted. Since you can't fillet in an assy I need to have that fillet as a piece of one of the parts or a completely separate part that I can...

    Fillets and Projections

I had to do that at the end segments in order for it to work.

    Fillets and Projections

OK, after screwing around with it for several hours I was able to get some large fillets going. Originally my loft profiles were one segment splines. I found that if I broke the spline in a few places I could use variable fillets.

    Fillets and Projections

Here is a pic of a sample part I am trying to fillet (hopefully the link works). I have several different parts but with many of the same problems filleting. http://pages.suddenlink.net/ricel/Sponson.JPG For the sample part, I am trying to fillet the intersection of the lofts "Fillet 1" and...

    Fillets and Projections

Fillets: I am having some difficulty making large fillets on several parts. Does anyone know of a good faq, tutorial, or examples of fillets on along complex curve intersections and edges? I have a small part I can email as an example. Projections onto non parallel planes with convert...

    Loft profile question

How do you loft from a profile to a curve normal to the profile? For example suppose you wanted to loft an air plane wing or a butter knife. You have a series of cross sectional profiles but the ending profile is a curved line on a plane normal to the rest of the loft planes.

    New Plane orientation

Another way to explain it is that I want a bunch of different Top planes in the same orientation as the orginal top plane (Top view is X+ to the right), but each on a specific global Y that intersects with a 3D sketch.
