    Foam selection help

Even without much information about the application I would say that EVA could be a good option for its versatility. G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    TPU Hardener

That's the only solution right? Mix with a harder grade and work with parameters according to higher hardness grade. G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    TPU Hardener

Hey all, I have 85 ShA TPU but I need to hardener it to 95 ShA. Is there anything to mix with the pellets before injecting the TPU? Thank you for your time, G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    Phylon

Local? Like that shoe maker arround the corner called John "Nike" Doe? Don't think so... G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    Phylon

Anyone knows what is Phylon? As far as I could check in google, Phylon is some kind of EVA foam, but there wasn't much information. G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    Injected TPU abrasion resistance

One of our suppliers, Huntsman, also tells that performs the tests after 12hours at 90ºC. I can make that for testing, but not for prodution because it's just impossible to store all that material in a heat dryer. Even for testings during production it's not good, because I need 24hours to aneal...

    Injected TPU abrasion resistance

So far so good, guess reducing the volume of the injection helps a lot, lets wait for some more tests. Thanks for the help G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?"

    Injected TPU abrasion resistance

Patprimmer: There is no variation in hardness always between the defined values. To avoid “secret”changes in the operation conditions, I’m writing down the parameters every day, more then once, they wouldn’t have time to change back to normal before I get there. The mould temperature is...

    Injected TPU abrasion resistance

All variables are the same, from heating and cooling temperatures and times, pressures, volumes, speeds, etc. and I still have the variation in the abrassion resistance. Moisture was tested by changing the temperature in the dryer and there was no significant change in the results. About the...

    Injected TPU abrasion resistance

I'm having problems with abrasion resistance of a TPU flat part, with thickness 5 mm. Even with the same parameters in the injection molding machine I can't have consistent value of abrasion resistance, I get values from 60 to 180 mm^3 and I need to have consistent values below 100 mm^3. I'm...

    EVA injection molding

patprimmer, I guess I'll really have to wait for the machine and the molds to get to know the foaming effect better. Just got a data sheet from a supplier and I'm waiting for more information other supplier, one of the points missing in the data sheet is the VA content, so I asked for mor...

    Smart Polymers

I just found two produts that are "Shape Memory Polymers": Veriflex® http://crgindustries.com/veriflex.htm http://www.crgrp.net/veriflex.shtml Tembo® http://www.ctd-materials.com/products/emc.htm Smart materials have at least one propertie that can be changed by external stimulation (stress...

    Multiple colors in rubber

Thickness accurate hmmmmmm how accurate? I now that tags with 1 or 2 mm can be used in this kind of work. But you must use different rubber mixtures to assure they are bleeded but to avoid mixing of colors. G "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why some people appear bright...

    Smart Polymers

As far as I could understand (but I'm not sure is what he wants) mselak500 wants a smart polymer with shape memory like the metal alloys. (ex. Nitinol) I didn't knew about this property in polymers, but now I'm curious, searching it soon. "Since light travels faster than sound, isn't that why...
