I am looking for a solution with an annoyance in NX4. Selection defaults in drafting are driving me crazy. It seems that the selection intent favors the selection on the component in drafting so every time the cursor is on a component it highlights the component. If it is a complex part it can...
We just upgraded to NX4 from NX2 and there is a problem with threads displaying in revolved section views. the problem occurs when the threaded hole is on a section leg that is not parallel to the view vector. the threads are displayed it's just that the line that indicates the end of the...
I found a help subject in UG help under sheet metal-> appendix about using sheet metal flanges to create a round to square transition but they used just four flanges and rnded up with just 4 bend lines. If I want more bend lines using this method I would have to make a flange for every bend line.
I am wondering if UG NX2 has the ability to create a development view such as the one described in this website http://www.tpub.com/blueprintreading/47.htm . I am attempting to create a round to square transition piece out of .25 flat steel. I tried many different free form features and also...
To get the job done i just created the table and linked expressions and attributes in each cell. It was just a small table this time. I don't think that I'm doing anything wrong, just think the tabular note function is broken. I'm using NX2 maybe it is something that was fixed in NX3.
I am interested in this also. I was trying to use the tabular note function in a drawing to add a part family table but could not link to the part family model to import the table info from the part family spreadsheet.
I had set up a master model in UG V18. In that part I had imported attributes into a spreadsheet for the title block information. I could input things such as drawn by and checked by in the spreadsheet and it would update on the drawing. Since my company upgraded to NX2 I have not been able to...
