That did it, I created a new block & "presto" it works... must be magic. Yep, it's like an extended bom. Some of our customers want multiple parts per sheet, so this identifies each part. the ? is one I manually fill in, I use it for the detail number & qaunity. example part#...

Maybe I should just uninstall 2003 & reinstall to see if that cures it. Thanks Gary

Hi, Does any one have problems with 2003 when they save as dwg and the blocks with linked text do not come in correctly? Example: instead of the block saying what the file name of the part is it comes in as the link ... "sw-file name". My var says it is an autocad problem but I do not...
