Has anybody tried to model an arch pipe or anything other than the standard circular or rectagular as a culvert outlet? If so, I'd sure like to find out how you did it.
Thanks
I just completed using Site 2004 for a streetscape project and was generally pleased with it. However, there were some "quirks" that we had to work through. For example, occasionally, when projecting a line at a certain slope from a reference element, the elevations of the child would default...
Has anybody found a way to model unconventional orifices in HydroCAD? For example, I want to partially block a round pipe with a concrete weir and don't know how to model it as an orifice.

Why do you need a 500-year depth? If you are dealing with regulations that cite a 500-year event, they should also give you a source for the rainfall data.
I thought the same thing but that is what my boss wanted.
Thanks Iha
I ended up using a USGS formula that estimates stream discharge based on location and area. I then altered the rainfall depth to approximate the discharge for the basin in question.
I have a situation where I need to use DSI as I have coupled ponds but the final outfall into a creek needs to be modeled with a constant tailwater elevation. Anybody have suggestions?
