Scott, Kenat, Mark -
Thanks for your input.
Mark, wow, reading your blog may help restore my faith in Solidedge, and was exactly what I was looking for.
I tend to work the same way, with my left hand on the keyboard. Can you help me with a few questions:
1. So, I switch between windows a...
Beachcomber - Thanks for the reply: eloquent and informative. English must be your first language.
Schipperus - Thanks also for your reply. My previous post I meant Alt+F (versus Alt+A or AB) not Cntl+F as posted. I must disagree that the shortcuts are faster though. Example1: to get to File...
Gemnoc,
Your are mis-interpreting what I'm asking for.
Obviously the standard keyboard shortcuts (cntl+S, P, etc) are fine. BUT have you have ever used MS Office 2007 and previous versions of Office?? If you have will note the BIG differences between it and SolidEdge ST (v100) interface. For...
1) Yeah. Tried a search on UI, interface, v100, or ST lately for the "UGS: solid edge forum" only? The solid edge forum comes up empty for some reason...
2) All the threads I found are just people talking about how difficult it is - not a reasonable SOLUTION, like having a pre-loadable keyboard...
I've held out upgrading to Solid Edge ST (v100) until three weeks ago. I am a long time Solidedge use since v11. I'm still using "traditional" modeling so no problem there, but am struggling with the using the new Ribbon (MS Office 2007) interface. I use a 3-button mouse and otherhand on...

The Occurrence Prop. only refers to the "Quantity" column of the drawing Parts List for a single assembly file. We're trying to find an effective way to display two column quantities for two variants of an assembly.
Scott - good point.
Don't forget to "add" yourselves to the Enhancement...
Thanks Scott.
From the GTAC newsgroup, there was a similar work-around:
Create a two custom properties "QTY-1" and "QTY-2" for each part.
Build a PL using these custom property columns for the -1 and -2 assembly quantities.
Then adjust custom field quantity QTY-1 and QTY-2 to be the correct...

Thanks for the feedback Scott and Kenat.
GTAC finally got back to me and created an Enhancement Request (ER) for this:
ER 5656545
Please, please tell anyone remotely interested in this capability to add their names to this ER!

Hi All,
This post started in thread1103-221577 (Drafting) and as requested I want to continue it here.
I have put in an IR to GTAC, but have not received an answer yet.
To Recap my Problem:
My company historically uses Multiple Assembly Parts Lists on our drawings. For example, an assembly...
My company historically uses Multiple Assembly Parts Lists on our drawings. For example, an assembly has two variants that are the same except for the Battery Pack (lithium or alkaline) and Circuit Board (Lithium or alkaline). In the drawing Parts List we will have a "-1" and "-2" "QTY REQD"...
I ended up getting the following Dell T5400 for under $3k:
WinXP x64 Edition
Quad Xeon 2.0GHz
4GB Ram (4 dimms)
nVidia Quadro FX1700
2-160GB SATA 10k hard drives
Thanks for all the feedback!
Greg
Thanks for the feedback Scott.
On the CPU: Reason #1 is I also use this workstation for ANSYS (forgot to mention this)
Reason #2 is that Xeon is the Solid Edge "recommended" processor:
