Is it common not to show round handled valves as such in 3D models ?

Which software are you talking about and why don't you provide a screen capture?

    Lap joint flange facing

So there's no grooving as there is with other flange faces.

    Pipe Size on Existing Drawings

I'm guessing Snickster's answer is correct. Don't forget the pipe insulation. It could be 1.5" to 3" thick.

Wafer check valve with half groove threaded holes of both flanges

First obvious question: what is the brand and model number for the check valve?

    PUMP SELECTION

The question seems to be, "Can I join together pipes of two different diameters with a reducer".

How is AI being used in your Piping career?

28 inch pipe is not seen in the chart

"Buy a reducer" Yeah, not to mention availability of fittings and valves in 28", as 1503-44 mentioned.

Ideal Piping Design, PSA, and BIM Software Set

Keep in mind that PDMS and SmartPlant (or whatever they're being called these days, gotta keep rebranding so no one knows what you're talking about) are in a completely different league from the other two.

Forged Branch Outlet Fitting vs. Standard Weldolet

Are we all talking about the same terms or am I misunderstanding? This image shows a flanged 'pipet' that does save some welding: See http://wfi-intl.com/index.php?page=flanged-pipet-2

Slip-on Flange to pipe engagement code requirement

I've seen this specified as being equivalent to the pipe wall thickness.
