    Thermal Relief of LPG

Many thaks to you guys for your responses. Looks like we will have to go for a Pilot Valve. The total flow during normal operation is small and I am concerned the spring loaded check valce idea may result in loss of flow control. The saving grace is the pilot valve will be small.

    Thermal Relief of LPG

I have a relief scenario regarding a blocked in LPG line at pressure so the contents are liquid. Expansion due to temperature changes are going to be large. To prevent release of LPG to atmosphere, the thermal relief has to be relieved back to the upstream end of the valve that is blocking it...

    Hydrogen Bromide Handling

Hi Iam currently involved in a small project for unloading HBR in polykegs or 1000l IBCs into a storage vessel for subsequent use. I have heard that the vessel requires inert gas blanketing to prevent GRP or lining corrosion because of oxidation to free Bromine. Also any vent may require an...

    Magnesium Hydroxide

Sorry. I have no direct experience except knowing that it is sold as a fuel additive. Apparently it complexes with vanadium and other low melting poing slag forming materials, providing a high melting point, and hence dry ash. I have been involved, some years ago now, in some demonstration...

    Deaerator water quality

Cheers TD2K. I guess the pickup in the system should be low as that is the pupose of the additives!

    Deaerator water quality

We are treating water exit a deaerator for use in steam raising equipment. The treatment spec. calls for subsequent condensate to be a certain quality (conductivity, iron, silica, chlorine etc) and any condensate loss is made up with demin water. We now wish to export some deaerator water...
