Hi all,
how can i obtain the amount of considered added mass in the analysis by the MFLUID to my structure in a dynamic analysis.
I guess i have to ask with some diag or param and then see the output in the f06. But which one?
So let's say i have a floating object in water, and i want to...
hi all,
i have some issues modelling a solid mesh onto solid geometry.
The imported geometry is a STEP file, with multiple solid bodies that are close to each other.
My problem is that when i generate the solid mesh the meshes between two solids are different, so the model is detached into...
hi all,
anyone know the most apropiate way to make an export file from ANSYS to import it into PATRAN ... NASTRAN format.
That i mean with the minimal looses in terms of geometry or physical properties.
The most important is that imports the whole model shell/beam elements.
Ty in advance for...
hi all,
I'd like to know what is the most apropiate way to export a FEM model from ANSYS to import it in Nastran (Patran), without loosing too much model information like geometry or physical properties.
For any suggestion thx in advance,
Frluga
hi Greg,
there are two things regarding the stress strain curve you made.
1. last two point in the table should be like that, example:
0.039 - 470 ; 0.08 - 471
2. did you set in the field options "Linear Extrapolation"?
For the rotation problem for tet elements.
Solids in general doesn't have...
forgot to tell you,
those vectors are the stress vectors into the plane without any shear. So you rotate them in the direction to obtain zero shear.
In use for some fatigue analysis for example.
you should see max and min principal in the stress results in Patran.
Not sure tho how to find them into the f06 print.
Just select the options in the stress submenus for marker/tensor.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=23c364e5-80d0-4940-b4ad-ea357428ac7e&file=maxp2.jpg
hi there,
i'm also balancing the model with INREL, -2.
My question is; where i can see the INREL output?.
It is in the f06 file .... but what exactly i have to watch to understand the ammount of unbalance, the applied acceleration, to my model with the INREL param -2.
Thx for any answer,
Frluga...
