    low temperature magnetic material

Thanks weldstan but none of those are for bar. Thanks jwhit. It looks like I will have to use cast grade. Does the LCC grade have the best magnetic properties (i.e. highest permeability)?

    low temperature magnetic material

Thanks Ed. I do mean steel or steel alloy but I need a suitable pressure vessel material such as ASTM A479 but it needs to be magnetic and ductile at -40C.

    low temperature magnetic material

I need a magnetic material that is pressure vessel grade suitable down to -40C and complies with the PED requirements particularly for ductility "its bending rupture energy measured on an ISO V test-piece is no less than 27 J" at -40C. There are some boiler plate grades that are OK but this is...

    PED Valve Ports

I want to get PED for some valves (pressure accessories) but I am a little conjused over the port fittings. The valve uses SAE threads (3/4-16 UNF-2A) in accordance with ISO 725. The problem is that the port fittings we use are rated by the manufacturer to 6000psi (412bar) and compliant with...

    logarithmic curve fittting regression

I tried the logarithmic formula and it worked fine for me so I presume it is your implementation of the formula not the formula itself.

    Suitable material for valve body

We are designing a solenoid valve body which is to be compliant with the European PED requirements. The valve is to have a working pressure of 350 bar and operate from -40C to +80C. We want to be able to machine it out of steel bar so we want a material that is easy to machine. We were thinking...

    DA401 alloy

Is DA401 a standard alloy. I.e. is it defined in any ASTM or EN standard. If so which standard? Thanks.

    CC601 standard

Can someone please tell what standard defines the aluminium alloy CC601. What about other aluminium alloys such as LM25 and A356. Thanks.
