NX11 already has the max X and Y values for the Flat Pattern.
It won't be a part property though because NX allows you to create more than 1 flat pattern in a PRT file.
I hope this helps,

Or you cheat a little bit on the two sketches:
Add a little line between the ouside flange and the arc. Make sure that its length is bigger than the bend outside radius.
The remaining arc will have a smaller radius. It also needs to be tangential to the new added lines. If not, it will not work...
OK,
A typical case that shows some of the limitations of the Lofted Flange feature.
One of the problems comes from the fact that the bend radii are not cylindrical faces anymore.
The other problem is that the flanges you want on each edge have a variable bend angle along its edge...
Just have a...
Why not try the new 3Dconnexion wireless CAD mouse?
It has a REAL MB2.
I received mine 2 days ago and love it.

Hi Lars,
Try Rapid Dimension with the Perpendicular option.
The first line will be the edge where the backgauge of the pressbrake will touch. The second line you click is the bend centre line (near the desired end point)
There you have a good and fast result.
I hope this helps.
BTW did you...
It's also possible to get that information from the Flat Pattern GEO output file (readable text)
The GEO contain a lot of information;
Max X Y dimension
Gravity point
No of cutting lines
Circumference
single side Surface area
Material Thickness
Number of bends
Bend directions
It also can...
Hi Safar,
I've been looking for a solution for this too and thus far there is no elegant way of doing this.

Hi all, Hi Tomas,
I have a question about the NX6 flat pattern;
If I open that part in NX6 I don't see any Flat Pattern Feature. But I can see the resulting curves.
Can you please explain, maybe with some screen shots, how you came to that result?
I've been trying to look for the "old" sheet...
I just had a similar case.
Please have a closer look at the part that has the problem;
Make it displayed part.
In my case I had intersecting bodies in one part. The part had an intersecting wave-link body.
Now go to Assemblies / Reference Sets and pick "Model"
You will probably see more than...
Hi Peter,
If you want the bends individually, you will need to create them yourself.
So if you need an arc that is in fact a polygon, you will need to create the polygon. Of course you can incorporate some expressions that drive the top and bottom sketch of your Lofted Flange.
The "other"...

With me it happened just as Cowski described.
I almost hated it in the beginning, I gave it a second chance and now I love auto dimensioning.
